The upper left picture is an old slide I scanned from when we visited St Bartholomew's Church in January of 1972. I think the film was Fuji and that is why it is so blue. It was a beautiful extremely quiet place surrounded by high mountains on all four sides. Even without the church it would be a place to worship God because the magnificent surrounding creation glorifies Him.

Firefighter
With Dalmatian spotted table tops and plastic firefighter hats who needs food to have great fun?
Some of the digital paper and embellishment are Scrapgirl products.

Niobrara State Park
I blended two papers from Scrapgirls and used their ribbon corners for the large photo. The title is clipped to a photo taken at the park. I created the other embellishments in Photoshop CS 5.1. The photos were taken at a wild game ranch near the park except for the lone deer. I took that one before sunrise from the screened in porch on the back of our rented cabin.

Durango to Silverton
I blended Scrapgirl's papers CKA SSPaper Slate, KSC EverSoLovely PaperLayered, AFT Jubilant Paper 8, and DMI SSPaper windy3801 for the first layout background. The embellishments are MRE DynBrush MachineStitc and CKA TrainsAndTracks. The second layout has a photo as the background and CKA TrainAnd Track Puff and Signal.
The scenery on the trip was awesome.

Yellow Flowers
Yellow flowers are the sparkle in my garden. The bees are so busy in the squash that there are actually two down inside the larger flower. Summer heat seems to improve the beauty of these hardy plants.

Every city child needs a little farm experience. This fat pig was laying under the picnic table at the farmer's market. He was just begging for love.

Swallowtail Butterflies
Beautiful swallowtails love to flutter around the phlox in my backyard. My husband and I tried to photograph several swallowtails on the same flower. The color contrast of the butterfly and the purple phlox is gorgeous.
My friend Mary died this week and I imagine her transformation to a heavenly body as striking as the caterpillar and the butterfly.

Lemon Lavender Cupcakes
I made these cupcakes with lavender from my backyard and decorated the ice cream with freshly picked lavender. The recipe called for candied lemon in the bottom of each cup. They turned out pretty and delicious just right for a summer barbecue.
